Sonel’s Corner Photo-Editing Challenge: Song Titles

For Sonel’s Photo editing challenge this week the theme is:

Take a photo or photo’s that relates to the title of a popular song or piece of music

and include the Original and Edited Photo and Song name.”

Above is my original Photo.
I cropped it and did a bit of back ground removal with Pixlr Express – heal.  I then used PhotoEffects Acrylic Comic.
The song which I am relating this photo to is “Bed of Roses” by Bon Jovi – one of my favourite songs.

Photo Editing Challenge: Week 11- Trees and/or Tree Trunks

Bark1I thought I’d do something a little different this time.  Above is the original photo of the bark of a tree.
Believe it or not, the photo below is the same photo, but edited with “Photo Effects,” there I chose “Star Random.”  So basically you just press pause when you like the design the program has given.  The photo edit was a little dull still because it was basically still in only in the brown colours as seen above. I then used PIXLR Express and finished the edit with an orange “Tie Die” overlay.  I thought this would be a nice background to use for a quotation.

This fits is well with the Daily Prompt: Photographers, artists, poets: show us CLOSE.

Quirks, don’t smirk.

doodlesDaily prompt: Which quirky habit annoys you the most, and what quirky habit do you love — in yourself, or others.

Having had OCD for many, many years now I find it difficult to determine which of my habits are related to the OCD and which are just merely habits.  I suppose those that cause me anguish, which have to be done again and gain until it is right are probably related to the OCD.  The other more trivial habits I assume then are just merely habits.
For me though, the line is thin.  I would say the habit/compulsion that I absolutely abhor the most is showering.  It is not the actual showering that I dislike so much, but the mind control and how I have to concentrate so early in the morning.  If I do not tell myself that I will only be in the shower for not more than 10 minutes, and If I don’t plan that I will first wash my hair etc, then I will get stuck in the shower, and I will be scrubbing my skin, because somehow in the back of my mind I sometimes just cannot get clean enough and will end up not being able to get myself out of there. I will understand if you think this is really silly, if you think it’s totally ridiculous, well then I don’t really care to explain.
My funniest quirk which I like is doodling.  It is impossible for me to talk on the phone or just be idle without doodling.  I don’t think you will find a diary or notebook which I own that does not have doodles on them 🙂 Above are some random doodles lying on my desk.

For: Daily Prompt

Living reality.

Daily Prompt: Tomorrow is the first day of a brand new year. Tomorrow you get to become anyone in the world that you wish. Who are you? You can choose to be anyone, alive today or someone gone long ago. If you decide to stay “you” share your rationale.

Well, let me put it to you this way; if I’m going to choose to be someone else, who is going to be me? And if you choose to be someone else other than yourself, the same applies, who’s going to be you?  Do you know of anyone on this earth who can do a better job of being yourself than you?
I don’t want to give myself away for someone else to be me.  I am myself, and you are yourself, we are the best versions of our unique selves we can be. Wanting to be another person is tantamount giving your soul away.  I am far from perfect, very far from, but slowly, and surely I am beginning to love myself…
Yes, there are one or two people who I admire for specific reasons, but I don’t want to be them, although I do take pleasure in knowing them.
So for me, I shall continue being me, but I will strive to become the best me that I can.
