I thought I’d put some of the photos I’ve been sharing of the Goslings together here; just to show how much they’ve grown. I suppose I should be calling them Geese now. The original post about them and how they came to us is this post “The Little orphan Goslings.” They are spreading their wings and flapping them quite a lot. They might fly away soon and I might be very sad when they do. It all actually reminds me of a scene in this movie “Fly Away Home” where the characters in the movie fly an aeroplane to show the geese how to fly. Here is the soundtrack, it also has snippets of the movie.
Weekly Photo Challenge this week is “Express Yourself” My little dog “Smiley” most certainly expresses his happiness and joy all the time. He is a wonderful little boy to have around.
I am combining this post with the “Weekly Pet Share.”
The Daily Prompt:
Today you can write about anything, in whatever genre or form, but your post must mention a dark night, your fridge, and tears (of joy or sadness; your call). Feel free to switch one ingredient if you have to (or revisit one from previous trio prompts).
It was a darkish night. I was rummaging through my fridge whilst talking to my mom on the phone. I had just been to a parent/ teachers meeting that day and was telling my mother that the teacher said my littlest daughter is “insanely intelligent” (teachers words not mine.)
I was expecting my mom to say something complimentary and granny-ish…but alas, the words I heard through the phone said. “I’m so glad one of my grandchildren takes after me.”
I was laughing so much, I had tears of joy pouring down my cheeks.
She is a witty one, that mum of mine.
This is a true story
Today, write about anything — but you must write for exactly ten minutes, no more, no less.
Usually when I’m not in a rush I take my time writing. You will find me stopping often and staring out of the window. So, ten minutes writing for me is something that could be full or words or hardly any at all. This is why I decided to write about my sweet cat, His Royal Highness. He is a very easy subject to write about.
I have been known to stalk my precious kitty with a camera in hand, hoping for a good shot. Today though, he decided to pose for me. It was most gracious of him to do so. One day I would like to take a video of him as most of the time he actually turns his back on me when he sees me with the camera. It is quite something to see.
If you look at the photo it looks as though rays of light are gleaming from his royal paws. Well, that’s what he thinks anyway. I’m not going to be the one to tell him that it is sunshine shining through the window.
My ten minutes ends here…
I am combining this with “Michelle’s Weekly pet Challenge.” You will find all the details in the logo below 🙂
