My Entry; Michelle’s Weekly Pet Challenge

20140719_111528_FotorHRH is not terribly impressed with me at the moment.  It has become necessary for him to wear a little bell.  Yes, you guessed it – my little royal has been trying to catch birds.  Quite natural cat behaviour I know.  He caught one last week, but luckily we saved the bird.  So, now the bell.  He will get used to it though.

  1. Our kitty has never gone out and believe it or not she doesn’t even try… but I chastise her for jumping at our window and scaring away the little hummingbird from the feeder I have on it…Diane

  2. Bummer about the bell, HRH. But it’s for your own good. Mom threatens to put a bell on me when I am sneaky around the house. So far, she hasn’t followed through. If she does, my bed napping days are over!

    Love and licks,

  3. Aaaaaw so sowwy ’bout da bell, all cuz hims wus just bein’ twu tu hims natuwe. Dat”s one of da uddew weasons mommy sez wees kittys no longer belong outside. 4. LOL! I bet he isn’t but it’s better for him and the birdies. I put a bell on Doc as well. He is the landlord’s cat. He is fat enough in any case. 😆

Gorgeous shot of the Little Prince. He is such a cutie! 😀

  6. super good picture!! mine catch snakes, moles, squirrels, rabbits, mice, and birds, which as much as it breaks my heart, I feel like its not right to change their nature. they’re so bored inside when I’m gone, I hate to deprive them of hunting, their only real joy! my Romeo can even catch hummingbirds, which he gets in trouble for, but I also think its part of the circle of life, and maybe the populations are too big…so they’re doing their part! at least that’s what I tell myself when they bring in the critters, alive and injured, so proud of their accomplishments, only to have me scold them. hehehe they only get rewards for the snakes, mice and moles! 🙂

  8. We had a cat that learned to still catch the birds with the bell on! She just got even more stealthy! It was amazing to see her move without ringing that bell!
