HRH is not terribly impressed with me at the moment. It has become necessary for him to wear a little bell. Yes, you guessed it – my little royal has been trying to catch birds. Quite natural cat behaviour I know. He caught one last week, but luckily we saved the bird. So, now the bell. He will get used to it though.

Our kitty has never gone out and believe it or not she doesn’t even try… but I chastise her for jumping at our window and scaring away the little hummingbird from the feeder I have on it…Diane
Whoa, is he ever gorgeous. Grew up to be a very handsome boy. Yeah, their nature, cats with birds, dogs with squirrels. We have the near close squirrel encounters our end.
Bummer about the bell, HRH. But it’s for your own good. Mom threatens to put a bell on me when I am sneaky around the house. So far, she hasn’t followed through. If she does, my bed napping days are over!
Aaaaaw so sowwy ’bout da bell, all cuz hims wus just bein’ twu tu hims natuwe. Dat”s one of da uddew weasons mommy sez wees kittys no longer belong outside. Not just da dangews posed tu us, but da ones wees pose tu uddews. Ifin wees lived outside wees wuld kill dat birdy tu eat, but since wees hav homes wees not need tu eat da birdy anymowe cuz yous ow hoomans feed us. But wees still can’t change ow need tu hunt.
super good picture!! mine catch snakes, moles, squirrels, rabbits, mice, and birds, which as much as it breaks my heart, I feel like its not right to change their nature. they’re so bored inside when I’m gone, I hate to deprive them of hunting, their only real joy! my Romeo can even catch hummingbirds, which he gets in trouble for, but I also think its part of the circle of life, and maybe the populations are too big…so they’re doing their part! at least that’s what I tell myself when they bring in the critters, alive and injured, so proud of their accomplishments, only to have me scold them. hehehe they only get rewards for the snakes, mice and moles! 🙂
We had a cat that learned to still catch the birds with the bell on! She just got even more stealthy! It was amazing to see her move without ringing that bell!
Poor guy, but I am sure the birds are grateful. 🙂
I’m sure they are too 🙂

Love it…
Thanks Bulldog 🙂

Wish I could train my little royal to go for the moles and leave the birds alone!
That would be quite a task 🙂

He is beautiful!!!!
Thank you Granny. he such a lovely kitty.

Mommy is a spoiled sport! HRH DOES appear like he’s pouting. 😀
He sure does 😀

😀 😀
As long as the birds get the message that although the bell may well signify dinner time, if they stick around it will be his, and they will be it. 🙂
Exactly Col 🙂

Now that is true certitude!
Agreed Newsy 🙂

Yep, they just love the birdies! I don’t recall ever having a kitty that didn’t have to eventually be “adorned” with a bell!
Especially when they are young and brave. 🙂 He is getting used to the bell now though 🙂
*Hugs*
Ahhhh the supine, content feline !
That he is and very regal too ❤

LOL! I bet he isn’t but it’s better for him and the birdies. I put a bell on Doc as well. He is the landlord’s cat. He is fat enough in any case. 😆
Gorgeous shot of the Little Prince. He is such a cutie! 😀
♥ Big Hugs ♥
Thanks so much Sonel, he is a lovely kitty ❤ He seems to be getting more used to the bell 🙂

Fortunately there aren’t many snakes around here, I’m terrified of them 🙂

What a gorgeous portrait of HRH! My cat used to also wear a bell, but he somehow ‘lost’ it. 🙂
I have been wondering if he will keep this one on too, ad 🙂
