A little burning candle.

Enchanted1The Daily Prompt

As a kid, you must have imagined what it was like to be an adult. Now that you’re a grownup (or becoming one), how far off was your idea of adult life?

As I child I pictured freedom as an adult.  Freedom from a very dominating person.  Freedom to make my own decisions.  Every-time I experienced or saw harm being done, I promised myself that I would never be like that when I was grown up.   I would never intentionally harm, dominate or abuse another.
I am grateful for hope. I always had a little candle of hope burning in my soul which helped me see the light.

  1. Wonderful that the candle kept burning and led you to where you are today- that person you wanted to be, and you continued to have hope through that darkness. Now your light shines on its own.

  2. I didn’t have the same level of things to deal with as you but I too made plans within myself that I would marry a man who would love and cherish his children and be involved in their lives unlike my own father….Diane

  3. I love being an adult. I wouldn’t got back to my childhood for the whole world! Whenever I feel a little pushed around, I just remember the wise words of Beyonce: I’m a grown woman, I can do whatever I want.

Namaste. My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.
