Unequal.

Passage B&W
depression
slow dark thud
that sways
like a pendulum
inside
corners of my mind
slow rhythm
waves of dark and light
alternating
swinging with the pendulum
light
dark
swings this way
swings that way
rhythm is lost
stuck in the dark
stays there
less light
uneven swaying…
uneven
dark

  1. Love the perspective M. I walked or rather dragged in the boots of despair and depression for many years until one day I decided to make small changes in my routine which began to open my mind again. This led to larger changes and bigger steps. Finally one day last year I changed my boots into heels. It was NOT easy, in fact scary as hell, but needed. Make a small change in your routine. We are all here for you. ♥

  2. The words used in expressing your poem are moving, Michelle. I do understand and empathise with you. The lyrics of “Whispering Hope” would be encouraging especially in these times. Love and prayers.

  3. Well expressed! To me, it’s dark purple, so dark that it is nearly black, and cold like the bottom of the sea. Still there is something luminescent about it, something alluring that is addictive and wants to keep me there… and the silence is just amazing. Hours can pass like this, one looks up and – what? Is that the time?

The photograph is beautiful and thought-provoking. A bit scary too.

Namaste. My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.
