A weekend or two ago, I was sitting in the lounge having a general chat with the kids.  I was in the process of deleting my photos off my camera as I had just uploaded them onto my computer, but this time I had uploaded them onto my Apple Mac and not on my Dell laptop as I usually do.
As I was just about to delete the videos I had taken of my little daughter doing a dance concert, I mentioned to eldest daughter that when I load my photos on the Dell laptop it usually downloads the videos too.  For a second there I wondered if it happens the same way with the Apple Mac.  Daughter assumed it would too, but just then my eldest daughter’s boyfriend said he has a feeling I should rather just go and check first.
I usually respond when people have spur of the moment feeling about something.  So I immediately went to my office to check; when I got into my office, my eye caught a bit of a commotion outside in the fish pond.  Our new little puppy (pic above) had fallen into the fish pond and was battling to get out. The other doggie was running around in circles not knowing what to.
Naturally, all thoughts about photos and videos flew right out of my head.  I grabbed the keys, unlocked the security gate, opened the other glass door and ran to the fish pond, luckily he was close enough for me to lean over and scoop him up out of the water.
I called for a towel because the poor little thing was soaked.  The girls were drying him, cuddling him and hugging him.  He recovered very soon after all the attention.  As I write this, there is a little wall being built around the fish pond so that this cannot happen again.
The next morning I was looking all over for my camera, which was nowhere to be found.  Later I went outside to find that in my haste of saving the little puppywups, I had left my camera outside.  Fortunately it did not rain that night.
Also, the videos had not uploaded, and I have realised how to do that too now.  So, puppy saved and videos not lost – all because of a feeling.
It is when things like this happen that I wonder if it was a coincidence or are we sometimes prompted to be at a certain place at a certain time. What do you think?

  1. I think and truly believe there are no coincidences. What ever higher powers that be lead us in directions of where we need to be when we need to be there. I am so glad this was the case for you and your beautiful pup yesterday. Hugs and hugs to you. ❤

  2. I believe there is something that spurs us on… whether that be spirit or connection or life force, I don’t know, but in moments like those I feel trust in the universe. Which reminds me to keep the trust in the lower moments. So glad that little cuties is okay.

  3. I totally believe that one should follow these ‘prompts’ . Last summer when I had stopped breathing and my heart had stopped, my husband who had been working outside for a couple of hours… just happened to come into the house and found me….called 911 started CPR … If he hadn’t come in at that particular moment. i wouldn’t be here today…

  4. He is such a cutie and I am so glad you got there in time Michelle. That must have been scary for all of you. They are just like little kids. Can get into trouble if not watched all the time. LOL! I believe everything happens for a reason and we have to be attentive to the signs of everything around us. Great post. 😀

  5. Water and pets. A cause for concern. I went through hell when our dogs were puppies, and they all fell in the pond at one time or another

If you can teach the dog to swim and not be afraid of the water, so much the better and also teach it how to get out – put a step in or something.
Mind, you, this might not be an issue when the pup is bigger, I don’t know how big your pond is. You know our pond was formerly a pool so it was more of a worry.

And your 6th sense put you in the right place at the right time. Huge sigh of relief. Never disregard woman’s intuition!

  6. I’ve learned, there are no coincidences … each is a nudge to be mindful about something. Yeah Yeah Yeah for saving such a cutiepie — time for swimming lessons. What is the name of pup, what kind and how old? Precious! 😀

  7. I believe we are guided, help is offered, but we have to choose to listen to it. Should we decide not to listen, then many things can happen, some good, some not-so, but all-in-all it all works out as a combination of our choices and everything begin guided.
    Make any sense?

Namaste. My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.
