“Butterflies are Free”

My garden was so beautifully full of butterflies this morning.  I think they may be migrating…

My seven- year old daughter took the second picture.
Every time I came too close the butterflies would flutter away, so she said she could do it, and she did.

  3. Both are stunning shots Michelle. I can see your daughter is learning a lot from you and you are indeed a great teacher. 😀

Love the first shot that you took. Great perspective and composition! It’s really tricky getting shots of these little beauties. Yesterday we had a lot of them in the garden as well and it’s like you say, they are very shy and flutter away quickly. Your daughter was lucky to get those 2 beauties. Sometimes they linger longer and other times they flutter away before you can focus in. Thanks for sharing hon. 😀

  15. The insect/animal world always seems to be more accessible to the children. Have you noticed that? I think they sense they have nothing to fear and that the children are not as confused and lost as most of us are.
