Eerie shadow in my window.

There are the nights that it does not scare me at all, but other nights it just simply gives me a shiver down my spine.   There are a few CCTV cameras around the property where I live.  The monitor for the cameras is in my room.  As I am a bad sleeper, I often wake up unexpectedly, usually between 12 and 3am.  I have no idea if there is something perhaps making a noise that wakes me, but once I’m awake there is no chance of me going back to sleep.  This is when I enjoy the complete silence and read, but I can’t help but glance up at the monitor every now and then.
It is the camera on the bottom right that always catches my attention; it picks up a reflection in a window of one of the back rooms, part of my studio in fact.  There is a shape of a person standing there, it does not move, and there is no mistaking that is looks like a man.
Every night I look, and the figure is there.  It looks as though he is looking out of the window.  I have come up really close to the monitor to try to figure out if there is some sort of reflection forming this shape, maybe from other lights and shadows, but have come up with nothing.  I have gone outside in the day, and examined the whole area, but I just can’t figure out what is making this weird and rather eerie reflection the window.
The strangest thing as well is that it is there every night, but there was one night that the reflection was not there at all.
As a child, and a teenager, I experienced a few strange things, but never something as consistent as this.  I find it so strange and wonder what others think?

      • Did they pass in the home? This is a most unique thing happening in your home. Can you freeze frame and post a picture of the ‘man’? I would love to see it. XOXO – Bacon

      • Okay – so not them. But, did they have any family that might have been closed that passed away… that’s a possibility. Or perhaps something else stood on the land before your building. See I’m psyched. For a little piggy, I watch a *lot* of paranormal shows. I’m not skeered… yet – snorts. XOXO – Bacon

  1. i think u sleep like i do:),,lol… i do da same thing almost evry night at 2 3 er 4 am…mostly i believe mine is because of trained behavior and my “PKD” i gotz to live with, hope u cum up wit a resolution as to what ur errie shadow is though… ok till again , take care happy holidaze :)… Q by da’ way, 🙂 Very Kewl Pic of bird an moon!..hasta. Q 🙂

  2. I expect it’s some combination of light and stuff which only happens at that point during the night. Possibly on the night it wasn’t there the conditions weren’t quite right. I’ve seen this sort of thing before.
    I’m sure it’s not a ghost 😦

  3. I am not a sleeper either, even trying Ambien. I do believe that I would have to muster up the courage AND A FRIEND and go outside and see exactly what is casting the form. I am too curious not to find out ! Be careful but it could be fun too !

  4. I know that feeling of waking ..for me its always between 1 and 1.30 . I cannot explain what you see . but you might try having someone else sleep where you do and see if they can see this too. Its one more piece of data if nothing…..sorry I cant be more useful .. it kinda creeps me out a bit I confess ..Im a pussy when it comes to the supernatural…

    • I have actually shown the shadow to someone else and that person also agreed that it looked like a person, but also agreed that it might be reflections. I think that person felt a bit creepy too. 🙂

  5. It would actually be a fun challenge to consider possible explanations and eliminate them by experimentation. This could be started by considering logical angles of reflection, altering curtains or lights, and screening off objects nearby. Also noting down times and conditions when seen.
Actually, one sometimes hopes there ISN’T a logical explanation. I was quite disappointed when I worked out the explanation for our ghost train mystery!

  6. It must be an eerie feeling … I don’t think it’s your imagination but perhaps if you’re sleeping badly and your thoughts wander to a time when you felt insecure your mind feels like it’s real but it is in fact causing you to be in a dreamlike state??? Don”t know if that makes sense or not….. Diane

  7. Well, if it’s someone and nothing happens, he might be watching over you. Also, it could be just shadows and reflections at a certain time of the night. It is eerie though. 😀

  8. Well sometimes one returns where they had the most peace in their life, hope that is the case! Very nice shot, of the bird, it reminds me of an owl on the prowl! Say the words “peace be still”, and you will rest easy! Hugs to you always my sister!

Namaste. My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.
