Today’s prompt: You have been named supreme ruler of the universe. Your first order of business is creating and instituting a holiday or festival in your honor. What day of the year is your holiday? What special events will take place? Describe YOU DAY in as great a detail as you can muster: the special foods we’ll consume, the decorations we’ll use…everything.
My holiday will have to be in December, tomorrow in fact, the sixteenth of December. I think it would be called the “Universal Hug and Love Day.” It would be for all those feeling lonely and blue this season, or those who just don’t do Christmas too well, and also naturally for those loving and kind souls out there.
If anyone opened their mouths to say something, those words would only be allowed to uttered with soft gentle voices. There would be a bit of a festival too, a sort of hippie affair. Lots of flowers. Everyone would have to be wearing flowers in their hair, and they could bring their pets along too if they wanted. There should be wine I think, yes?
Those who would be unable to do so would have to be banished to somewhere else for the day… Very fanciful, I know 🙂

And maybe once people get used to the idea, every day will become Universal Love and Hug Day. That would be nice.

Your fantasy is fabulous! I especially love the part about bringing pets along. But I love the soft voices and all the flowers too and that it’s for ” all those feeling lonely and blue this season, or those who just don’t do Christmas too well, and also naturally for those loving and kind souls out there.” What a great holiday you have conjured up as supreme ruler of the universe! 🙂 *hugs*
Thanks Doran, it would be a holiday in everyones honor 🙂

Ooooo I like it! And maybe if someone says something negative they get tickled and kissed on the cheek. Those are the people who need love most. What a fun prompt.

I am in! What a great way to celebrate your day. Nice. Very hippie like. Reminds me of the song “Imagine” with a bit of “Are You Going To San Francisco?” – flower power. Thanks!
Those songs fit perfectly, mg. Thanks so much and you are very welcome in my special day 🙂

Sounds like a great holiday.
I watched “the purge” yesterday. Good movie – exactly the opposite of your holiday.
Interesting thoughts – both of them
Scott
Hi Scott, I have not watched that movie yet 🙂
*Hugs*
Violent and rough, but good premise.
I will add it to my list 🙂
