My response.

On the interview show Inside the Actors’ Studio, host James Lipton asks each of his guests the same ten questions. What are your responses? (The questions are listed after the jump)

  • What is your favourite word?
I don’t have a favourite word.  My favourite sound in a word or words is the sound of sincerity when kind or genuine words are spoken.

What is your least favourite word?

Although the F-word is very effective at times, and I am loath to admit that I have used it in times of desperation when I needed to shock in order to be heard.  The word does not come naturally to me, but I will not deny that it is useful – at times.

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

Creatively? I don’t know, things just come to me from out of the blue.
Spiritually: I can’t really say, but sometimes I am moved by an intense connection on a certain level where I will feel deeply moved.
Emotionally: Sincere (with no inclination feigned) kindness and gentleness.

    What turns you off?

Overly important, pompousness, arrogance, judgemental, general bad vibes.

What is your favourite curse word?

“Bloody” Yes I know, very boring.

What sound or noise do you love?

A purring cat, the dripping rain or quietness.

What sound or noise do you hate?

Loud TV’s, loud Radios, loud voices, loud people, Sports commentators.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

If I had have had to opportunity to study further it would definitely be criminal psychology.

What profession would you not like to do?

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

I would truly like God to say that he understands everything…

  7. Such fun questions and answers. When I was a teacher, we always used to talk in the teacher’s room about what we’d do if we weren’t teachers. My dream job that was possible was to be a children’s author (this dream came true when I retired from teaching). My dream job that was not possible was to be a ballerina. That will not happen, but it would be awesome if it did.

  13. I’m with you on all your responses. I would hate to be a pilot too. I’d be scared to death of the huge responsibility entrusted to me. I also occasionally say”Bloody”, and hubby always looks shocked. 😀

  14. I truly admire your last answer! Loved the whole conversation, but definitely that stands out for me.
It’s amazing to have such a website,! I will remember this website with such nice topics to read as yours.

Namaste. My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.
