The past few days have not been easy, in fact they have been rather black. Those who read my blog will be aware of it as I have mentioned it – as I always do.  Usually, when I’m feeling like this I have very bad nights and end up with a serious lack of sleep.  On these nights I often wake up with what feels like my heart beating in my ears, I usually grab for my smart phone and check emails and read blogs…and sometimes there are emails that make me smile inwardly, like the email I read last night which told me about this post…

  1. Have a funny movie to hand. Or something to focus your mind on something else. One can con the mind to switch programs as it were.
If ever I get bogged down I watch Top Gear, believe it or not!

      • It desn’t have to be funny of course. Sometimes the last thing you need is a Cheerful Charlie when you are climbing the walls.
        Depends on the individual.
The key is to watch or read something that requires you to alter your focus for a bit, and without too much effort. Just sort of drift along for a while, until you can breathe without grinding your teeth or banging saucepans or feel trapped.

  2. Our pleasure. Glad to be another platform to share your beautiful work! It will be on the main page for 10 days, so make sure to check back for more likes and comments from some of the many people connecting with it 🙂 Also shared it on Hope you get some sleep and feel on the upswing soon. I have similar sleeping issues. I can’t promise it will help, but I recently wrote an article with sleep tips for Beliefnet. Xx

  3. What a gift that you get that email and saw the photo that made you smile inwardly. That was an amazing photo. Reminded me of a Leonard Cohen song that ways something like “it’s the cracks that let the light in.” Wishing for you that this rough spell passes quickly. Sending love, Paulette

  4. Found you by way of that post. 🙂

    Comforting voices fill the Silence.

  5. There should be a likes a lot button! I do not like that the black dog is lurking around in the garden of your soul and I pray it soon will be over. Or at least that you find strength in the thought that ” this too will pass”. What I do like a lot is the page you shared, and the photo you shared! We do need a lot of eyes and a lot of souls to show us the world as it is and as it could be!

  6. Next time you feel like this drop in and watch one of my nutty videos… Just kidding, and I hope that you will be feeling much better soon my sweet friend 🙂 I will take a look at the link later Michelle but for the now, be well and know that we care 🙂

  7. It’s so interesting the ‘heartbeat in the ear’ thing.. I have had that so many times and it can drive one to tears… There is just nothing that I found when I had it that helped … at least with trying earphones or cotton balls or ?? I hope you get some relief from how you’re feeling though and maybe then the other issue will resolve… take care.. Diane

Namaste. My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.
