Anachronism (noun): an error in chronology; a person or thing that’s chronologically out of place.
There is just one item in this picture that is out-of-place – and the reason I haven’t used it yet, well…until now that is 🙂
Do you see it too? Does it bug you as much as it does me?
I’d love to just stick my hand in the picture and remove it.
*hugs*
Reblogged this on WordPress Blogs Reblogging Site.
Thanks Cyril 🙂

Lovely photo… pity about the dustbin… is that what you’re referring to.??
Yep, it is so out of place here 🙂
Thanks bulldog 🙂
*hugs*
If it wasn’t for bulldog’s acute observation, I would never have noticed. I suppose I see only what you want me to see. I think the photo is lovely with or without the dustbin but I understand how it might annoy you – the photographer.
Thanks Doran, when I took the pic I though I could crop the dustbin out – don’t know what I was thinking 🙂
*hugs*
Yes the trash can I bet! It’s a beautiful photo! Can you photoshop it out? At least remove the writing?
I’m not too sure how to photoshop it out…I’ll have to ask my daughter, I’m sure she’ll know how 🙂
*hugs*
It’s a beauty! You should!
🙂
My dad loved photography. If I would share photos with him that I had taken, this is the sort of thing he would point out to me. Thanks for the post. It brought up some fond memories of my dad and his encouraging and helpful comments. (of course there were also times when his comments were a bit unwanted) like when I came out wearing a long skirt and he commented “My God, is that what they are wearing these days! You look like you’re dressed for a civil war re-enactment!) 🙂
Hehe @ the comment from your dad about the skirt. Glad the pic brought back fond memories, Carmela 🙂
*hugs*
It’s funny, those are the kind of things I’m always equally wanting to erase and also loving b/c they add a delicious edge of reality. I’m all about acceptance these days so it strikes me as a chance to acknowledge that photos (just like people) are imperfectly perfect.
Such a good point you made there, onebreath – makes me look at the picture differently now…

I suppose you could use Gimp or something else to clone the can out? Such a great photo, love the doors atop the single door below. Nice!
Thanks John, I’ll figure it out somehow 🙂
*hugs*
The trash bin!? Agree, if that’s what you’re referring to. It’s such a lovely photo, otherwise.
That is it, Paulette 🙂 Glad you agree with me 🙂
*hugs*
It is frustrating to get the photo you want except for one tiny detail that is hard to work around …. however, the name for it (Out of Place) is perfect!
It was the perfect prompt for this pic 🙂 Thanks so much, Becca 🙂

sticks out like a sore thumb
It sure does 🙂

I’m just starting to notice things when I’m composing a photo and I find myself pulling a weed or repositioning something. That trash can would have made me nuts but your photo is perfect, you did such a great job. Love your photos!
Thank you so much, the trash can does drive me nuts 🙂
*hugs*
Great photo indeed Hope and I agree. Sometimes you take a great photo but afterwards you see something in it that just doesn’t fit but I still love it. Great shot hon! 😀 *hugs*
Thank you, Sonel 🙂 Its just one of those things I suppose 🙂
*Big hugs*
It sure is hon. 😀 *hugs*
Actually, if you wanted to do away with it, you wouldn’t even need Photoshop. Paint would enable you to copy/paste sections of wall to hide it.
Thanks, Col – I wouldn’t know how to do that 🙂
*hugs*
It is a beautiful photograph and I failed to notice the trashcan until someone mentioned it. Here is an amateur attempt at fixing the trashcan. I am sure with a little patience and skill which I have neither, it can be fixed better. I never posted a photograph in a comment before, so I don’t know if this will work. Also, you let me know when to go ahead and delete it on my end since it is your picture.

Thanks so much Maryann, unfortunately I cannot see the picture… 😦 But thank you so much for trying, I really appreciate it 🙂
*hugs*
Ok I am not too good with technology. I’ve tried this as an email so it should work here. http://wp.me/a3Fd7S-k7
You go that right, thanks Maryann 🙂

Thanks quarksire … hmm, eco friendly, never thought of that 🙂
*hugs*
I’m the type of person who would remove the dustbin, take the shot and then replace the pic. How dare they inconvenience you like that? 😉
I really wanted to move it, but decided against it… 🙂
*hugs*
Can you imagine if the residents had come out whilst you’re moving their wheelie bin! That would have been hilarious!
It would have been, it seemed to be part of a business, and I was worried abut people thinking I wanted the bin 🙂 LOL.
That is a magnificent photo. You could remove it with PhotoShop if you knew how (I don’t). 😉
Thanks Lorna, I don’t know either 🙂
*hugs*
ugly arse trash can? just upload it into paint, and copy and past some of the pink brick over it…no one would ever notice it. 🙂
If I knew how I would 🙂
