I took this photo the other day. I was going to my daughters little flat to tell her something, but I stopped at the door. She had left the door open and being a bit of an artist myself, I realised that she was in the zone. I didn’t want to break the creative energy there…so I quietly just stole a little picture with my cell phone. The writers, artists, poets will most probably nod in agreement and understanding when I talk about being in that particular creative zone…which should not be interrupted.
Unfortunatly, half the time I get in the zone, writing wise, I have just laid down for bed. So I keep getting up and run out to make notes as the thoughts come until I finally say enough is enough. I hope ou get your ideas much earlier than bed time!
This is a truly smashing shot: unprepped, and completely natural.
The off the shoulder shirt, the angle of the brush. Even the wall texture and the easel and the light falling on the chair ‘make’ this shot.
It creates a powerful desire to want to see the painter. One wants to ‘turn’ the shot to see the face!
There is balance, poise and best of all, originality. Really, it deserves a frame and a wall. It is worth keeping. Well done M.
Wow! That is one stunning shot indeed Hope and it tells a great story. Love the painting too! She is truly a wonderful artist..just like her mom. Great entry for the challenge hon! *big hugs*
Hello, hugger! I’ll join the long line-up of admirers – great picture! And what talent! Love the name of your blog- I’m big hug fan too. PS: Much appreciate you following my blog- ta muchl!
Wonderful painting! And she’s so lucky that you understand that – my mum is always talking loudly or turning the volume up on the telly when I’m trying to write. She did that just yesterday and I was SO FRUSTRATED.
Aww.. Thanks.. Maybe I should let her read what you wrote!
🙂
I love your consideration. Many people have NO idea, Hope. Sometimes I feel the need to write and slip into the mode, but then you can count on my siblings, each, all, one at a time, skyping me with that annoying beep. So now I have to put it onto the DARK RED (no interruptions) just in case my muse is nearby. Prevention is better than trying to recapture the magic, lol!
Namaste. My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one. Cancel reply

Excellent photo. I know that “Zone” very well.
Thank you so much, Jeff. I knew there would be quite a few people here on blogs who would understand about the zone 🙂
*Hugs*
I’d guess you’re right on that point. We should all get t-shirts with “Artist at work, do not disturb” printed on the back 😉
That is an excellent idea! 🙂
This is beautiful. You should DEFINITELY frame it
Thank you so much, Doran. I will do that.

Oh, c’mon, admit it. You knew that if you interrupted her you’d get your head chewed off right down to your toes, didn’t you? 🙂
lol, no definitly not, Col. She is the sweetest gentlest person ever. 🙂
*hugs*
Hmmm. She needs to work on getting an artistic temperament – and temper! 🙂
She has a temper alright, to match the red hair, but there are only a few things that make her flare up 🙂
