Little things, not so little…

Daily PromptDescribe a little thing — one of the things you love that define you worlds, but is often overlooked.

I must admit I sat here staring blankly at my screen, not knowing how to put it in words…
Now after typing and deleting x3, let me just say it like this.  We are all connected to each other.  I feel the connections often, sometimes strong, and sometimes they fade but the connection is always there.  There are people who understand this and feel the same way themselves, but not too many will actually want to admit it.  Then, there are those that I think will have this understanding, but then I am sad to find that it is buried under layers and layers of programming from birth…make sense?  It is fine if it doesn’t make sense, I will understand.
It is this that defines me, I live on intuition on my better days.

  1. I think I know what you’re saying but don’t want to presume… The people that are in my life whether it’s friends, family, someone new or blogging friends there is a connection . Sometimes a more personal one …. some of the people I blog with I have formed a very strong connection …and I find that I am able to say or admit things or confide as though I had known them for years…I am definitely a people person. I was going to do a post on this prompt but time has just flown…but I was going to do it on the fact that I try to think the best about people even if something doesn’t make sense… I try to look at a situation as they see it …and what they might be feeling .. 2. Awwwwww, just the cutest ever Hope and what a great shot this is! It’s wonderful to be connected to these innocent, filled-with-love furbabies. Thanks for sharing hon. 🙂 *big hugs*

  3. I certainly understand that concept and feel it, too. My problem is that I often forget that I feel it and may try to explain it differently. The truth is that we all are connected and my empathy for others comes from that connection. When I write ,when I comment, when I share – it is all with the hope that a connection is made and/or strengthened by my words and thoughts.

  4. I stumbled upon your blog through another one and this post stood out. The idea of connection and how it is always there, whether we are aware of it or not – this is something I think about a lot and it gives me hope for myself and for the world. If we can tap into that connectedness there is so much possibility to grow with one another rather than hurt.

Hmm… that sounds more cheezy than I meant, but I think you get the idea. Connection nurtures the soul.

  5. I don’t know if it is the way you expressed it or what, but I got it. there are many times that I feel like people just don’t get me. I am so much more in the thought of deep thought mode that I can be misunderstood or seemed as odd

  11. Makes so much sense. Education and socialisation buries the natural instincts somewhere deep within us. To get in touch with that part of our being is difficult and is often ridiculed at.

The other day, one of my friends from college wanted to make a switch from engineering stream to music industry. He is facing really difficult times in the middle of the world that suppresses instincts 😦

  16. Beautiful! I am a strong believer in a universal consciousness that keeps us all connected and try to follow the teachings of Alan Watts which focus on this interconnectedness. This resonates with me!

Namaste. My soul honors your soul. I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.
