Think of your blog as a mirror: what does it reveal? Consider your blog name, theme choice, design, bio, posts… what does every element tell you about yourself?
Starting with my blog name I would say that it is a reflection of myself. People tend to think that I am one of those people who hug with reckless abandon, but not quite so. I love proper, sincere, meaningful hugs, real hugs – not the Hollywood hug and peck. I do NOT go around hugging people freely, I only hug those who I feel comfortable with me in real life. On blogs I give virtual hugs because anyone who takes the time and trouble to visit me and read my blog deserves a nice hug. Especially those who take the time to share comforting words on my darker days. You will never know how those words have saved me often.
The background of my blog is of creeping roses which were growing up a fence in my garden, so the background of my blog, is in fact, my garden. My favourite colour is white, but since white will not show up well on the screen I chose to put the pic of pink roses. I love and adore roses…
I chose the word “Happy” as opposed to calling myself the “Sad” hugger. It seems though that I am in either the one mood of “happy” – too much, over the top happy often, or I am in the “sad” mood. Apparently I can’t be normal and just have an even mood. My blog started off about depression, and as a vehicle for me to write about it and in so doing create a form of therapy for myself. It has grown quite a bit though, with my pets being the stars of the show.
Is my blog a mirror of myself, I’d say yes, I don’t doubt that.
