Today’s Prompt: What role does music play in your life?
Music has the most unbelievable effect on me, it captures moments and almost transports me back to that places and times. It has the ability to soothe and calm a troubled soul. I’ve said before I seem to know songs that I didn’t know I knew. Songs about things pop into my head all the time.
I think John Miles said it best…
Lyrics to the song if you can’t play the video;
Music was my first love
And it will be my last
Music of the future
And music of the past
To live without my music
Would be impossible to do
In this world of troubles
My music pulls me through
BRIDGE
Music was my first love
And it will be my last
Music of the future
And music of the past
And music of the past
And music of the past
couldn’t live without it!
Same here, art

Music. The one language of the world. As I traverse the world from country to country…from culture to culture…from spoken language to spoken language, I can always communicate through music. It conveys feelings, moods, energies, etc., etc. It’s exactly why I always carry my harmonica with me.
You play the Harmonica, Harold? wow! that is something exceptional.
*hugs*
Hugs, I used to play the guitar. Then when I took up cross-country motorcycle touring in my 30′s, the guitar was way to big to carry around. I loved music. Needed something small. This the harmonica.
This has been an especially fun prompt to read others’ takes on…as always, you’re spot on about music being a (very inspiring) first love.
Thank you Wiley

Hope, this was beautiful. I’ve never heard John Miles before, but I really loved this, and I agree with what you wrote too.
God bless you, my friend,
Cheryl
Thank you so much Cheryl, I’m glad you like it.
Wishing you a lovely day.

I love music and would have a hard time without it. That’s one thing that made the movie “Castaway” so rough – no music while he was on that island – truly lonely and sad.
Scott
It would be terrible without music.
*hugs to you Scott*
Try this one on. It’s a different take on the relationship with music, and a bit melancholy, but still…
(Oh, and that waving the cell phones instead of lighters? Meh.)
Love the song, El – even though it is sad. Sometimes the critics get it wrong. Lighters instead of cell phones – I quite agree
