Birds of a feather … :)

We all mosey’d on down to Monte Casino, Gauteng, recently.  I knew they had a bird park and had visited it before but little did I know it had been revamped – it is quite beautiful.  The birds look so well cared for…they even look a little arrogant :)  What a beautiful place.  What a pleasant surprise :)

This guy had a whole lot to say…

  1. Beautiful! The first one definitely looks like he’s got an attitude. The 2nd bird is lovely…. can’t say I’ve ever seen a bird like that.

  2. Lovely photos, a friend of mine had a lovely assortment of parrots when she lived next door to us in Waterfall, she has over 200 parrots and quite a few Macaws like the one in your photo. They were always a wonderful sight to see and hear when they started to talk in the early hours of the morning.

  3. They do look a little arrogant now that you’ve mentioned it. Haha. Personally I don’t really like the birdpark here. It’s beautiful but I’m just not that amazed by birds. I much prefer walking the trails at The Night Safari. I can stare at the lions all night!

  4. How cool! I’ve never been to a bird park… ok I confess – I’ve never even heard of a bird park before now. The little pink guy is a funny looking one – too cute. Now I want to go to a bird park. :D

    Many blessings,
    Cheryl

  5. They are beautiful!
See that pink and grey galah down the bottom? Well, out the back of my house is a big gum tree and every afternoon a flock of these same galahs sit up there are just talk amongst themselves. It’s a lovely sight to see

    I hope you’re well

  6. Ah, you are from South Africa? I hope so. I only have one other blogger friend from there. I just love to see photos of places I haven’t visited. The color of the birds is just amazing. They’re beautiful!
