We all mosey’d on down to Monte Casino, Gauteng, recently. I knew they had a bird park and had visited it before but little did I know it had been revamped – it is quite beautiful. The birds look so well cared for…they even look a little arrogant
What a beautiful place. What a pleasant surprise
This guy had a whole lot to say…

What a little cutie…
*hugs*
Bird parks are always entertaining.
This must be nicest one I’ve ever been too, Newsy
*hugs*
Beautiful! The first one definitely looks like he’s got an attitude. The 2nd bird is lovely…. can’t say I’ve ever seen a bird like that.
Thanks Gail, the one on top really had a lot to say. The second one I think is a “Gulah” I stand under correction though.
*hugs*
Thanks for educating me! I looked up Gullah…. a very interesting colored bird indeed! I had never heard of them. He looks like he had a bottle of Pepto Bismol spilled down his front!
*smiles* my pleasure.
Beautiful!
They are
*hugs*
Lovely photos, a friend of mine had a lovely assortment of parrots when she lived next door to us in Waterfall, she has over 200 parrots and quite a few Macaws like the one in your photo. They were always a wonderful sight to see and hear when they started to talk in the early hours of the morning.
It must have been fun to visit you neighbor there, carolyn.
*hugs*
Happy Monday to you.
Thanks footsy and to you too
*hugs*
Something for me to remember when next I visit the boys. They live on Monte Casino’s doorstep so to speak. Have you visited the Lion Park on the road to Lanseria?
You will love it Pussycat. I have been to the lion park, that must have been about three years ago though.
*hugs*
I have never actually been to that Bird park. Monte yes, many times, but never the bird park.
Lovely pics Esperanza
The bird park there is really lovely ghiatjie.
*hugs*
Ah! Wonderful,, especially the pink one.
I also loved the pink one, it is so cute
*hugs*
Been meaning to visit for ages but haven’t got round to it yet. Now you’ve convinced me to get my butt into gear.
Thanks for the visit
and a belated Happy New Year to you.
*hugs*
They do look a little arrogant now that you’ve mentioned it. Haha. Personally I don’t really like the birdpark here. It’s beautiful but I’m just not that amazed by birds. I much prefer walking the trails at The Night Safari. I can stare at the lions all night!
Oh, I think lions are awesome too! Still I like the little birdies as well
*hugs*
How cool! I’ve never been to a bird park… ok I confess – I’ve never even heard of a bird park before now. The little pink guy is a funny looking one – too cute. Now I want to go to a bird park.
Many blessings,
Cheryl
Bird parks are really nice most of the time. let me know when you go to one, Cheryl
*hugs*
LOL – I’ll have to google it and see if there is one nearby… In my area, that’s doubtful.
They are beautiful!
See that pink and grey galah down the bottom? Well, out the back of my house is a big gum tree and every afternoon a flock of these same galahs sit up there are just talk amongst themselves. It’s a lovely sight to see
I hope you’re well
Gary x
Oh that must be such a beautiful sight so see and hear Gary
*hugs*
I’ve never seen a pink one before, never thought they existed. I found it way more funny that I find it cute but they are kinda cute anyway.
They are very cute
I have always wanted one of these birds for my very own, but way too expensive for my purse
Me too terry, they are very pricey – that is why I also don’t have one of my own
*hugs*
Ah, you are from South Africa? I hope so. I only have one other blogger friend from there. I just love to see photos of places I haven’t visited. The color of the birds is just amazing. They’re beautiful!
They are gorgeous birds. Yes I am from SA.
*hugs*
Don’t want any birds in my house as pets, but very nice to watch and to just look at.
Good pics,
Scott
Thanks Scott. They are gorgeous to watch
*hugs*
I’ve been meaning to visit there for some time. Perhaps this year… Beautiful photo’s, Hope.
It is a lovely outing adee

Very beautiful colors in that first bird! Were his words polite or colorful?

Blessings ~ Wendy
